About the Role
- Review patient eligibility and screen for alternate resources/insurance
- Process medical referrals and handle denial letters/appeals
- Maintain correspondence files
- Coordinate with medical staff
- Process purchase orders
- Manage medical records and maintain patient confidentiality
- Monitor supplies and coordinate with vendors
- Participate in staff meetings and training programs
- Follow HIPAA and Privacy Act regulations
- Work collaboratively in team environment
- Assist with billing coordination
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Utilize electronic health record systems
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Process billing using medical coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical administration certification preferred
- Minimum 12 months experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of medical billing/coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10)
- Experience with electronic health records
- Must pass background check and fingerprinting
- Required immunizations
- Must complete required training within 30 days
